Hamrun Spartans secured the services of Swiss twenty six year old right winger Merlin Hadzi.

Hadzi played for BSC Young Boys, FC Rapperswil-Jona, FC Chiasso, FC Stade-Lausanne-Ouchy, FC Vaduz and FC Paradiso.

The Spartans had earlier appointed Giacomo Modica as their new coach and signed Vincenzo Polito, Jonny Robert, Matias Garcia, Domantas Šimkus, Rafael Compri, Mouad El Fanis, N’Dri Koffi, Saliou Thioune and Junior Djile with Steve Borg, Mattias Ellul, Mayron, Roko Prsa, Elionay, Mihael Klepac, Talison, Cesar Menachio and Raphael Lopes, not retained or moving elsewhere.
