Malta will be hosting San Marino in a friendly match on Tuesday September 9 at the National Stadium, kick-off at 21:00.
This match will follow the European Qualifier against Lithuania in Kaunas on September 4.
Malta and San Marino met three times in previous occasions. Malta defeated San Marino 3-2 in a friendly match in Serravalle on August 14, 2012. Then in June 2022, the two teams met twice in matches from the UEFA Nations League with Malta winning 2-0 away from home and 1-0 at Taβ Qali.
San Marino lost the first four matches of their European Qualifiers earlier this year but last year, they managed to win their UEFA Nations League and secure promotion to League C after back-to-back wins over Liechtenstein and a draw at home with Gibraltar.
