Valletta FC player Yuri Messias has been named the LifeStar Best Player for September.

Throughout the month, Yuri impressed just as much as his team, helping Valletta FC record four wins and one draw in five matches.

He scored five goals during the month of September – one in the 3-1 win over Marsaxlokk, another in the 2-0 win over Floriana, one in the 4-1 win over Mosta and two in the 2-1 win over Tarxien Rainbows – and was voted Most Valuable Player in three of those matches.

The LifeStar Best Player Trophy for September was presented to Yuri Messias before the Valletta vs Hibernians match on Saturday by LifeStar Insurance CEO Jonathan Camilleri.
