Valletta secured the services of Dutch twenty six year old forward Stijn Meijer.

Meijer played for RKAV, Roda, Utrecht, Twente, Willem II, Almere City, Excelsior, FC Dordrecht and PEC Zwolle in the Netherlands, CD Lugo in Spain, SC Verl in Germany, Al Shahanaia in Qatar and FC Universitatea Craiova in Romania, moving to Hamrun Spartans last summer.

The Citizens had earlier signed Diogo Tavares and released Jefferson while Zach Cassar and Zak Barbara moved elsewhere.
