Msida St. Joseph handed Kalkara United their first defeat in the BOV Amateur League II as a goal by Thomas Grima on 79 minutes handed them a narrow win at the Sirens Stadium. For Kalkara, this was the first defeat after nine wins in the first nine matches.
Rabat Ajax returned to winning ways as they defeated Marsaskala 3-1 in another match at the Sirens Stadium. Aidan Paul Azzopardi put the Magpies ahead on 14 minutes. Dale Valletta equalised on 29 minutes but Jamie Camilleri made it 2-1 one minute from the end of the first half. Deyan Cortis made it 3-1 two minutes in added time.
Siggiewi suffered a shock 1-2 defeat to Ghaxaq at the Charles Abela Stadium. Juan Artiaga put Siggiewi ahead on 51 minutes but Gabriel Calleja equalised on 64 minutes and Rui Zammit notched the winner on the 90th.
In atoner match at the Charles Abela Stadium Gharghur held Dingli Swallows in a goalless draw.
