The Gozo Football Association (GFA) welcomes and fully supports the policy introduced by the Ministry and the Planning Authority aimed at strengthening the framework for the sustainable development of sports facilities in Gozo and Malta.

This initiative, aligned with the Commercialisation of Sports Facilities Regulations (S.L. 455.12), provides sports organisations with clearer planning guidance while ensuring that the primary purpose of sports facilities remains protected.

The GFA together with its mother association the MFA has long been an advocate of measures that help clubs and sporting entities improve their infrastructure, enhance community services, and secure long-term sustainability. The Association also values the continued cooperation with the Ministry and relevant authorities in shaping policies that benefit the wider sports ecosystem.

The Gozo FA encourages stakeholders to participate in the ongoing public consultation process as Malta continues to invest in stronger and more sustainable sporting environments.
