Hamrun Spartans returned to winning ways as they defeated Hibernians 1-0 in a match from the YoHealth Malta Premier Closing Round at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Wednesday.

The Spartans therefore move to just two points behind leaders Floriana. Hibernians, on the other hand, are now joint-sixth on 10  points along with Gzira United and Naxxar Lions as they suffer a second successive defeat.

Joseph Mbong scored the all-important goal twelve minutes in the second half.
