Hamrun Spartans kept the pace with leaders Floriana as they defeated Marsaxlokk 2-0 in a match from the YoHealth Malta Premier Closing Round at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Monday.
The Spartans move two points behind the Greens and four ahead of Marsaxlokk. The Southseasiders on the other hand, stay one point ahead of Naxxar Lions and Gzira United and two ahead of Valletta and Sliema Wanderers.
Following a goalless first half, Blessing Eleke put Hamrun ahead on 61 minutes and ten minutes from time, Joseph Mbong doubled the score.
