Nine Malta Premier players suspended

Nine players from the YoHealth Malta Premier were handed a one-match ban by the Malta FA Disciplinary Commissioner.

Ulises Arias and Nikolai Muscat (Marsaxlokk), Leo Fernandes (Mosta), Edson Farias (Naxxar), Adam Magri Overend, Steve Pisani and Vito Plut (Sliema), Jake Azzopardi (Valletta) and Bruno Figueiredo (Zabbar) will therefore miss the first match from the Top 6 and Bottom 6 in April.

Marsaxlokk coach Enzo Potenza was also banned for one match.

In the BOV Challenge League, Sean Cipriott (Balzan), Leo Agius (Birzebbuga), Reeves Cini and Owen Magro (Pieta’), Giuseppe Bonanno (Sirens), Ben Gaerty and Michael Johnson (St. Andrews), Amara Sylla (Marsa), Adrian Caruana (Vittoriosa) and Joshua Gaku (Zebbug) were suspended for one match. 

St. Andrews official Andrew Azzopardi was suspended for two matches while Balzan official Bojan Kaljevic and Swieqi official Claude Mattocks were banned for one match.

In the BOV Amateur League I, Leejoe Schembri (Senglea) was banned for three matches while Josmar Galea and Adrian Paul Sammut (Attard), Erjon Beu (Lija), Nathan Frendo (Luqa), Weverton and Andrew Sant (Pembroke), Neil Tabone (Qormi), Lawrence Grima and Karl Micallef (Victoria) and Miguel Aquilina (Zejtun) were all banned for one match. Luqa official Terrence Cassar was suspended for one match. 

Meanwhile Max Borg Bartolo (Dingli), Rhys Gove (Kalkara) and Warren Azzopardi (Ta’ Xbiex) were banned for one match in the BOV Amateur League II.
