Luxembourg national coach Jeff Strasser named a twenty-three man squad ahead of the UEFA Nations League C/D Play-Off between Luxembourg and Malta.
Malta hosts Luxembourg on March 26 at the National Stadium with the return leg scheduled for March 31 at the Stade de Luxembourg. Both matches will be kick-off at 18:00.
There is no player based in the domestic league in Luxembourg. In fact, all players selected by Strasser play around Europe except for goalkeeper Anthony Moris who plays in Saudi Arabia with eight players based in Germany, three in the Netherlands, two each in Austria and Portugal and one each in France, Belgium, Russia, Italy, Albania, Lithuania and Poland.
Luxembourg, who are currently ranked 102nd, earned three points in Group C3 which included Northern Ireland, Bulgaria and Belarus thanks to away draws with Bulgaria and Belarus and a draw at home with Northern Ireland, ending at the bottom of the table.
They played ten matches in 2025, beating Sweden 1-0 in a friendly match at home and holding Ireland in a goalless draw in another friendly match at home but lost two friendly matches against Switzerland and Slovenia, failing to win any points from the World Cup qualifiers in a group which included Germany, Slovakia and Northern Ireland.
