Kercem Ajax were crowned champions of the BOV Gozo Football League First Division after defeating Nadur Youngsters 1-0 at the Gozo Stadium on Monday. 

Led by Daniel Bogdanovic, Kercem, who were promoted at the end of last season as Second Division champions with maximum points from fifteen matches, had an impressive run in the First Division this season, winning so far thirteen of the sixteen matches played. 

After being held in two draws by SK Victoria Wanderers and Xewkija Tigers in the first two matches, they won thirteen out of the last fourteen matches, losing only one game to Qala Saints.
