Qormi defeated Kirkop United 5-0 in a match from the BOV Amateur League I at the Sirens Stadium on Sunday.
Jayden Zac Borg scored twice within the first five minutes with goals on 3 and 5 minutes and Neil Tabone made it 3-0 on 18 minutes. Innocent John Awori extended the lead on 57 minutes with Dale Mifsud adding another six minutes later.
On the other hand, Lija Athletic defeated Pembroke Athleta 3-1 at the Centenary Stadium thanks to a Lyvann Obissa hat-trick. Obissa put Lija ahead on 51 minutes and scored another two goals on 81 and 85 minutes. Malcolm Vella Vidal reduced the gap on 86 minutes.
Attard lead the way with 59 points, followed by Victoria on 51, Qormi 46, Mqabba 45, Lija 43, Mellieha and San Gwann 30, Qrendi 29, Senglea 28, Kirkop and Xghajra 24, Zejtun and Pembroke 22 and Luqa 21.
