Tarxien Rainbows defeated Zabbar St. Patrick by the odd goal in five after extra-time in a decider for the 10th/11th place in the YoHealth Malta Premier Closing Round Bottom 6 at the National Stadium on Tuesday to avoid the second place from bottom and therefore the two teams will be facing each other once again on Sunday in the Relegation Play-Offs.

Following a goalless first half, Tarxien managed to take the lead on 66 minutes thanks to a Petar Panic header when served from the right. Strahinja Jovanic was unlucky to hit the crossbar in the dying minutes but six minutes in added time, he notched the equaliser when he slotted the ball past goalkeeper Miguel Juan Spiteri following an assist by Ayom Majok.

The game, therefore, went into extra-time and three minutes in the first half of extra-time, Pedro Cejas put Zabbar ahead following a cross from the right. However, two minutes from the end of the first half of extra-time, off a cross by Nhayson from the right, there was a short clearance and Angel Valverde slotted the ball past goalkeeper Manuel Djalo from the edge of the area.

Two minutes from the end of the second half, Nhayson notched the winner when he flicked the ball past Djalo when served by Marko Musulin from the right.
