Hamrun made history for Maltese beach soccer by becoming the first club from Malta to win a match in a European beach soccer competition. In the Euro Winners Challenge being held in Nazaré, Portugal, the Hamrun side defeated Greece’s Kefallinia AO BS 4-1.

Hamrun’s goals came from Edinho, William and a brace from Toni, while the Greek side found the net through Alex. The Maltese team showed great determination and a well-organised performance against quality opposition to secure a memorable victory.

On Saturday, Hamrun side will play their second match in the competition when they take on FC Genappe.
