Birkirkara secured the services of twenty six year old Brazilian left back Jefferson Vinicius Vitor da Silva.

A product of ABC FC, Jefferson Vinicius moved to Gremio before joining Rukh Lviv in Ukraine. He returned to Brazil where he played for Santa Cruz, Altos and Sao Bernardo from where he was loaned to Marcilio Dias and ABC FC.

The Stripes, who have confirmed Paul Zammit as coach, had earlier announced the signing of Rafa Santos, Aleandro Garzia and Jake Vassallo and confirmed that Shaun Dimech, Leandro Lacunza, Alessandro Coppola, Manuel Morello, Fran Lopez, Luis Cordova, Roni Santos, Geoffrey Acheampong, Donovan Makoma, Sebastian Viveros, Jacques Bayo and Jere Vrcic left the club or were released.
