Marsaxlokk secured the services of twenty nine year old Brazilian forward Matheus Vieira da Silva

Matheus Silva joined FC Porto at an early age before returning to Brazil where he was on the books of Coimbra, Real Ariquemes, Novorizontino, Comercial, Bangu, Cascavel, Nova Mutum, Avenina, Brasiliense and Real Noroeste. Later he played for Sai Gon FC in Vietnam, Udon Thani and Suphanburi in Thailand, Nusantara Lampung in Indonesia, Ravshan Kulob in Tajikistan, Olancho in Honduras, Garudayaksa FC, PSM Makassar and Persipura Jayapura in Indonesia and Al-Zawraa SC in Iraq.

The Southseasiders, led by coach Enzo Potenza, had earlier signed Andrea Cassar, Lucas Caruana and Oleksiy Bykov and confirmed Christoffer Mafoumbi, Joseph Minala, Leandro Aguirre, Dodo, Domantas Simkus, Rasmus Linden, Isaac Christie-Davies, Redon Mihana and Ulises Arias.
