After winning the first leg at the Centenary Stadium 2-0, Floriana will be aiming at qualifying for the second qualifying round as they face Shamrock Rovers of Ireland in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round at the Tallaght Stadium in Dublin on Tuesday, kick-off at 21:00.
It will definitely be no easy task as Shamrock Rovers will be all out to overturn the result at home to stay in the UEFA Champions League, also boosted by the expected return of Roberto Lopes, fresh from his participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup with Cape Verde.
However the Greens are eager to secure a spot in the next round, knowing that this would guarantee, at least, a spot in the UEFA Conference League play-offs.
A clash with the winner of the tie between Ararat of Armenia and Riga FC of Latvia in the second qualifying round awaits the winner. Ararat won the first leg at home 2-0.
The eliminated side, on the other hand, would be transferred to the UEFA Conference League where they would be facing either FK Kauno ลฝalgiris of Lithuania or FC Drita of Kosovo. The first leg in Lithuania ended 1-1.
