Birkirkara secured the services of twenty six year old Serbian attacking midfielder Aleksandar Djordjevic.

A product of Cukaricki, Djodjevic had spells on loan with IMT Belgrade, FK Indjija and Zeleznicar Pancevo before eventually moving to Zeleznicar Pancevo. Later he joined FK Sarajevo in Bosnia Herzegovina.

The Stripes, who have confirmed Paul Zammit as coach, had earlier announced the signing of Rashed Al-Tumi, Zach Muscat, Alenadro Garzia, Jake Vassallo, Amarildo, JP Iseppe, Kadu, Yago and Jefferson Vinicius and confirmed that Shaun Dimech, Leandro Lacunza, Alessandro Coppola, Manuel Morello, Fran Lopez, Luis Cordova, Roni Santos, Geoffrey Acheampong, Donovan Makoma, Sebastian Viveros, Jacques Bayo and Jere Vrcic left the club or were released. Shelom Magri and Nathan Cross were loaned to other clubs.
