Birkirkara secured the services of thirty year old Brazilian central defender Wesley Frazan Bernardo.

Throughout his career, Frazan played for Fluminense, CRB, Chapecoense, Ituano, Londrina, Taubate and Inter Limeira.

The Stripes, who have confirmed Paul Zammit as coach, had earlier announced the signing of Rashed Al-Tumi, Zach Muscat, Alenadro Garzia, Jake Vassallo, Aleksandar Djordjevic, Amarildo, JP Iseppe, Kadu, Yago and Jefferson Vinicius and confirmed that Shaun Dimech, Leandro Lacunza, Alessandro Coppola, Manuel Morello, Fran Lopez, Luis Cordova, Roni Santos, Geoffrey Acheampong, Donovan Makoma, Sebastian Viveros, Jacques Bayo and Jere Vrcic left the club or were released. Shelom Magri and Nathan Cross were loaned to other clubs.
