Sliema Wanderers secured the services of Macedonian thirty three year old central defender Vlatko Drobarov.

A product of Vardar Skopje, Drobarov played for FK Skopje, Napredok Kicevo and Teteks Tetovo before a spell in Mexico with Murcielagos FC. He rejoined Teteks Tetovo but then moved to Banants in Armenia and eventually Aris Limassol in Cyprus. Later he played for Ohod Club in Saudi Arabia, Belasica in Northern Macedonia, Kerala Blasters in India, Cherno More in Bulgaria and FK Sarajevo in Bosnia Herzegovina before returning to Cherno More. 

The Wanderers had earlier appointed Branko Nisevic as their new coach and signed Henry Bonello, Teddy Teuma, Alex Satariano Nigel Robertha, Diego Camara and Brian Gambarte.
