Tarxien Rainbows registered a second win in the BOV Challenge League as they defeated Attard 3-1 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Sunday.
Norberto Jimenez put Tarxien ahead on 27 minute and ten minutes later, Gabriel Cruz doubled the score. Isaac Cutajar increased the lead three minutes in the second half with Kayden Farrugia pulling one back for Attard twelve minutes from time.
Naxxar Lions also defeated Zebbug Rangers 3-1 in another match at the Victor Tedesco Stadium. Felippe Bugeja put the Lions ahead on 23 minutes. Trezeguet Zammit doubled the score two minutes in the second half but four minutes later, Godfred Sakyi reduced the gap. However, Zammit made it 3-1 nine minutes from time.
Tarxien and Victoria lead the way with 6 points, followed by Fgura, Vittoriosa, Swieqi and Sirens on 4, Naxxar, Melita, Pieta’ and Mgarr 3, Santa Lucia 2, Attard and St. Andrews 1, Zurrieq, Zebbug and Gudja 0.
