Newly-promoted Balzan secured the services of twenty five year old Guinea Bissau international goalkeeper Manuel Issufe Djaló.

Djalo played in Portugal for Sao Martinho and Lusitano Evora before moving to Luxembourg where he played for FC UNA Strassen and FC Koeppchen before moving to Zabbar St. Patrick last summer.

Balzan, who have confirmed Andrew Cohen as their coach, had earlier signed Macula, Nikola Djoric, Mohammed Marzuq Yahaya, Leo Fernandes, Rosiel, Sekala Guehi, Isaac Davey and Emmanuel Asante and extended the contract of Awosanya Oluwatobiloba Dimeji and Sean Cipriott.
