Six Premier players suspended

Six players were handed a one-match ban by the Malta FA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches from the YoHealth Malta Premier Closing Round.

Leandro Lacunza (Birkirkara), Mustapha Jah (Floriana), Kante and Mihajlo Stojanovic (Gzira), Ognjen Bjelicic (Hamrun) and Ulises Arias (Marsaxlokk) were handed a one-match ban while two officials Matthew Agius of Mosta and David Vella of Naxxar were banned for two matches.

In the BOV Challenge League, Jake Portelli (Balzan), Julian Azzopardi (Birzebbuga), Cain Cutajar (Marsa), Lazaro Crescencio (Mgarr), Fred Kessie (Vittoriosa) were banned for one match. Birzebbuga official Peter Cachia was suspended for one match and Swieqi official Matthew Borg for two matches.

Michael Camilleri (Mellieha), Misael Tabone (Mqabba), Glen Pace (Senglea) and Dylan Mercieca (Victoria) were banned for one match in the BOV Amateur League I.

On the other hand, in the BOV Amateur League II, Antoine Barbara (Ghaxaq) was banned for six matches while Max Borg Bartolo and Gabriel Sant (Dingli), Isaac Spiteri (Mdina), Daniel Calleja and Kurt Zammit (Msida) were handed a one-match ban. Ghaxaq coach Johann Zammit was banned for one match.
