Malta FA releases final match-day fixtures for BOV Challenge League, BOV Amateur League II

The Malta FA released the fixtures for match-day 22 of the BOV Challenge League and the BOV Amateur League II as both leagues come to an end this weekend.

In the BOV Challenge League, the championship, promotion and relegation are still in balance.

Balzan, Swieqi United and Birzebbuga St. Peter’s are still fighting for promotion with Balzan and Swieqi lying two points ahead of Birzebbuga. Whoever wins between Balzan and Swieqi, they would secure promotion to the Malta Premier. Birzebbuga, on the other hand, hope that they win against Sirens, Balzan and/or Swieqi lose to Melita and Fgura respectively or at least, one of them is held in a draw which would force a decider.

On the other hand, Zebbug Rangers and Marsa are battling against relegation after Mtarfa were relegated to the National Amateur League I earlier. Zebbug lead by three points and therefore a draw in the direct encounter would be enough for them.

In the BOV Amateur League II, with Kalkara United already declared champions, Dingli Swallows and Msida St. Joseph are fighting for promotion. Dingli lie one point ahead of Msida and therefore a win for them over Mdina would be enough to secure promotion. Msida, on the other hand, will hope for a win over Rabat Ajax and that Dingli fail to beat Mdina.
