Mazzotta names squad ahead of end-of-season training camp

Malta Under-21 National Team Coach Davide Mazzotta has announced a 31-player squad ahead of the upcoming training camp to be held over late May and early June.

The young Maltese side will be undergoing a training camp as Mazzotta and his coaching staff seek to further integrate players within the team.

As part of the camp, the Malta U21 National Team will also be having an international friendly match on foreign soil against Moldova. The match will take place on 4th June 2026 at the Municipality Stadium in Orhei, Moldova. Kick-off for the match is at 18:00hrs CET.

This encounter will serve as a great opportunity for the team to continue gaining further experience on the international stage and develop further. It will also be an opportunity for Mazzotta and the coaching staff to assess the players after the end of the domestic campaign.

Interestingly, the 31-player squad selected by Mazzotta features five players who are presently playing their football abroad, in countries such as England, the United States and Italy.
