Valletta FC secured the services of twenty nine-year old Brazilian forward Bruno Gomes de Oliveira Conceição.

Bruno Gomes started his career at Desportivo Brasil and later played for SC Internacional before moving to a number of clubs on loan, namely Genoa in Italy, GD Estoril Praia in Portugal, EC Vitoria in Brazil and Desportivo Aves in Portugal. He later moved to Italy to join Modena but after a short spell, joined Paraná Clube in Brazil. Later he played for CD Nacional in Portugal, KF Vllaznia in Albania and Semen Padang FC in Indonesia.

The Citizens had earlier signed Manuel Morello and Roko Prša and confirmed Adilson Maringa, Sava Radic, Thaylor Aldama and Diogo Tavares. On the other hand, Shaft Brewer, Rowen Muscat, Jackson Mendoza, Yuri Messias, Ahmed Adebayo and Stijn Meijer were not retained or moved elsewhere while Thomas Melillo was loaned to Zabbar St. Patrick.
