Fgura United registered a comfortable 4-0 win over Zebbug Rangers at the Victor Tedesco Stadium in one of four matches from the BOV Challenge League in programme on Sunday.
Gianluca Bugeja put Fgura ahead on 6 minutes and Samuel Cazares doubled the score eight minutes from the end of the first half. Bruno Souza then scored twice on 50 and 53 minutes.
Tarxien Rainbows defeated Mgarr United 3-1 at the Centenary Stadium. Norberto Jimenez put Tarxien ahead on 9 minutes and Michael doubled the score just before the end of the first half. Jimenez scored again on 72 minutes with Rayvian Job reducing the gap ten minutes from time.
Melita scored three in the second half to beat Gudja United 3-0 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium. Benjamin Cassar opened the score five minutes in the second half and goals by Miguel Angel Alba on 83 minutes and Mark Sammut Peresso three minutes later sealed the issue for Brian Said’s side.
Newly-promoted Victoria Hotspurs defeated St. Andrews 3-0 at the Centenary Stadium thanks to goals by Jake Ghio on 39 minutes, Thiago Nonato on 59 minutes and Arthur Stelmach six minutes in added time.
