Twelve Maltese clubs are set to receive funds from UEFA for their players’ participation in the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League through the UEFA Club Benefits Programme.

This programme recognises the contribution of clubs at all levels, compensating them for releasing their players to national team competitions, such as the European Qualifiers, UEFA Nations League, and also UEFA European Championships.

The total fund is split into specific allocation pots approved by the UEFA Executive Committee in agreement with European Football Clubs (EFC). The funds are not reserved exclusively for elite teams, with hundreds of clubs across different divisions throughout European national associations receiving financial compensation.

This payment cycle covers the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League campaign.

Twelve Maltese clubs have accumulated a total sum of €392,190 during the cycle, with the payments allocated according to an established distribution model as indicated in the table below.
