Ian Zammit scored a hat-trick as Valletta defeated First Division side Vittoriosa Stars 3-0 to secure the last place in the quarter-finals of the National League 100 Anniversary Cup.
Valletta join Hibernians, Hamrun Spartans, Sliema Wanderers, Floriana and Tarxien Rainbows from the Premier League, First Division side Mosta and Second Division side Lija Athletic in the quarter-finals which are scheduled for February 10.
Valletta took the lead on 19 minutes when off a short corner, Kevin Sammut served Ian Zammit who placed the ball at the back of the net from close range.
The Citizens increased the lead six minutes in the second half when off a cross by Dylan Grima from the right, Dyson Falzon headed the ball in the direction of Ian Zammit who hit home from close range.
Five minutes from time, Ian Zammit completed a hat-trick as he headed the ball home off a freekick from the left by Gilbert Agius.
