Six Premier League players suspended

Five Premier League players were suspended following the weekend matches from the BOV Premier League.

The worst hit were Keith Fenech of Qormi and David Camilleri of Tarxien Rainbows who were banned for three and two matches respectively.

Keith Fenech will be missing the games against Valletta, Tarxien and Hamrun. On the other hand, David Camilleri is ruled out of the games against Msida and Qormi.

Hibernians striker Etienne Barbara, Sliema Wanderers midfielder Ryan Fenech and Msida duo Cedric Sciberras and Tyrone Farrugia were all suspended for one game.

Barbara will be missing the game against Birkirkara while Sciberras and Farrugia are ruled out of the game against Tarxien.

Meanwhile Msida kit-manager Elton Agius was banned for three matches.

In Division 1, Mark Anthony Psaila (Mqabba), Chris Cuschieri (San Gwann) and Elton Vella (Vittoriosa) were suspended for one game. Vittoriosa coach Winston Muscat was banned for two matches while Alfred Attard of St. Patrick was handed a one-match ban.

In Division 2, Adrian Mifsud and Neil Caruana (both Rabat), Darren Grech (Senglea), Johann Cilia and Stephen Calleja (both Zebbug) were suspended for one match while Shawn Farrugia (Marsa) was banned for one match in Division 3.

In the Youth League, Noel Vassallo (Mgarr) and John Louis Sammut (St. George’s) were both handed a one-match ban.
