Eight Premier League players suspended

Valletta striker Njongo Lobe Priso Doding was handed a two-match ban after being sent off towards the end of the BOV Premier League clash against Hamrun Spartans while another seven players will be missing the last game from the first phase after being suspended for one match.

Priso was sent off for hitting an opponent and after receiving this two-match ban, he will be missing the game against Dingli Swallows on Monday and the first match from the Championship Pool. Also ruled out of the game Dingli vs Valletta are Valletta duo Gilbert Agius and Terence Scerri together with Dingli defender Shawn Tellus who were all banned for one match.

Also suspended for one game were Pablo Cesar Doffo (Floriana), Marcelo Pereira (Hamrun), Pedro Dos Santos Calcado (Sliema) and Andrew Decesare (Tarxien). Doffo will miss the game against Msida, Pedrinho the game against Hibs while Pereira and Decesare are ruled out of Hamrun vs Tarxien.

Meanwhile Daniel Borg and Marco Mercieca (Gharghur), Timothy Martin (St. Andrews) and Mark Muscat (Sta Venera) were all banned for one match in Division 2.

Gianluca Vella (Mosta) and Marlon Farrugia (Sliema) were suspended in the Youth League.
