Victoria Hotspurs returned to winning ways on Sunday as they defeated Kercem Ajax 5-0 to move three points clear on top the Melita First Division in Gozo.

In fact, Ghajnsielem who were sharing the top spot with the Hotspurs suffered a 0-2 defeat to Xewkija Tigers in another match on Sunday. The Blacks now lie in second place on 24 points with Xewkija and Nadur Youngsters in joint-third place on 21 points. The Youngsters have a game in hand.
