Qormi FC’s Nigerian striker Abubakar Bello-Osagie was formally presented during an event at the Express Trailers premises in Luqa.
The 22-year old striker joined the club from Brazilian side Vasco da Gama after playing for Internacional in Brazil and River Plate in Argentina. Bello-Osagie had the opportunity to play with top-level footballers including Alexandre Pato who is now playing with AC Milan. Since joining Qormi, he was one of the key players in the squad.
Express Trailers Limited, who are sponsoring the club for the third successive season, played an important role in his signing. Qormi FC Marketing Director Anthony Thorne and the player visited the Express Trailers premises where they were welcomed by one of the company’s managers Jonathan Vella.
Bello-Osagie spoke of his positive experience since joining the club. He thanked the Vella brothers of Express Trailers, Emmanuel Vella and Sons, Eyre Travel and Cargo Services for their support.
Jonathan Vella then presented Abubakar Bello-Osagie with the Qormi shirt and stressed his company will continue to support the club since their objective is that of establishing itself as one of the top clubs on the island.
