Msida St. Joseph registered their first win in the BOV First Division as they defeated Balzan Youths 3-0.
Karl Saliba put them ahead on 26 minutes and a brace by Martyn Curtis on 51 and 58 minutes sealed the issue for the Saints. Msida are still at the bottom of the table with -1 after having four points deducted.
In another match, Melita and Pietà Hotspurs shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw. Luke Micallef (9′) and Kane Micallef (26′) gave the Amateurs a two-goal lead but Robson Luis Bandeira scored twice on 55 and 64 minutes to earn a point for Pietà.
On Sunday, Dingli Swallows take on Mosta and Mqabba face St. Andrews.
