Mosta joined St. George’s in second place in the BOV First Division thanks to a 3-2 win over Melita.

Gilbert Martin and Mark Briggs gave Mosta a two-goal lead but Rudi Alhinho and Nigel Rizzo scored for Melita to level matters. However Briggs scored another one for Mosta to hand them the three points.

In another match, St. Andrews returned to winning ways as a goal by Kurt Coleiro ten minutes from the end of the first half gave them a narrow win over Pietà Hotspurs.

The Saints move sixth on nine points, two ahead of the Hotspurs who share the seventh place with Melita.
