Since its inception Mdina Knights Football Club has strived to make full use of the power of football and its growing name to help people and communities in need. This is mainly through organising social, educational and sporting activities to promote social welfare. To this end, the Club had set up the Mdina Knights Foundation, which organizes a number of events of an altruistic nature.
As part of these events, the Foundation recently hosted a number of boys from St. Patrick’s Salesians School to their BOV 3rd Division fixture against Marsaskala. The boys joined the Mdina Knights FC supporters in the stands at the Centenary Stadium and chanted away from beginning to end, cheering the Club to a 2-0 win.
After the match the boys were treated to a meal at McDonald’s in Birkirkara, where they were joined by the Knights’ squad. The boys had the opportunity to mingle and talk football with the players, and they thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
The Foundation would like to thank the Malta Football Association and Premier Restaurants Malta Ltd for their support in this event.
