Tarxien Rainbows aim at returning to winning ways on Monday as they take on Sliema Wanderers at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Monday.
The Rainbows lost 0-2 to Valletta in their last outing but after the Citizens were held in a goalless draw during the weekend, they could narrow the gap back to ten points, joining Floriana in second place.
The Wanderers are currently seventh on fourteen points and are desperate for the three points in order to close in on Marsaxlokk and Hamrun who are joint-fifth on nineteen. In their last outing, they earned a point in a goalless draw with Qormi.
Luke Vella Critien is ruled out as he serves a one-match ban. For Sliema, John Mintoff is injured.
Tarxien defeated Sliema 2-1 in the first round.
