Valletta awarded land in ?al-Farru? on a 49-year lease

Valletta were awarded a piece of land in ?al-Farru? where they will be building a complex including a stadium. The lease agreement, which is for forty-nine years, was presented by Parliamentary Secretary for Youth and Sport Clyde Puli to Valletta president Victor Sciriha during the club’s Annual General Meeting which was held on Sunday.

The decision is yet to be approved by the parliament and then MEPA will have to issue the necessary permits.

Meanwhile during Sunday’s meeting, Sciriha, secretary Joe Attard and treasurer Michael Palmier were confirmed in their posts. The other members to be elected were Joe Agius, Joe Cal­leja, Giovanni Cappitta, Alexander Fenech, Kevin Gauci, Paul Spiteri, Ottavio Su­da, George Tabone, Francis J. Vassallo and David Xuereb. Francis Vassallo and George Tabone are the two new faces in the committee.
