Paul Zammit appointed Birkirkara coach

Paul Zammit is once again the coach of Birkirkara FC. The news was announced during a meeting for supporters which was held on Sunday morning.

Zammit therefore marks his return to the club just four months after his contract was not renewed by the previous club administration. He replaces Patrick Curmi whose contract with Birkirkara was terminated by mutual consent.

After coaching Mosta and Valletta, Paul Zammit had joined Birkirkara in summer 2009, leading the Stripes to the Premier League title in his first attempt. Last year, Birkirkara placed third.

The Stripes are currently joint-fifth on ten points from six matches. On Friday, under the guidance of caretaker coach Peter Pullicino, Birkirkara returned to winning ways, defeating Marsaxlokk 2-1.
