Eight Premier League players suspended

Eight players will be missing the last round of matches from the BOV Premier League after being suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner on Wednesday.

Mosta midfielder Florent Raimy was banned for two matches while Bledjon Guga (Balzan Youths), Lee James Agius (Hamrun), Jackson Lima Siqueira (Hibs), Federico Tisbi (Mosta), David Fenech, Kris Calleja and Mauro Bonnici (Mqabba) were suspended for one match.

Guga will be missing Balzan’s important game against Tarxien. Tisbi and Raimy are ruled out of the game against Sliema, with the Beninese midfielder also misses the first game from the Relegation Pool.

Jackson Lima and the three Mqabba players are ruled out of the clash between Mqabba and Hibs while Lee James Agius will be missing the game against Birkirkara.

In Division 1, Frantisek Schneider and Lee Grima (Birzebbuga), Alex Portelli (Dingli) and Arafa Elnakkua (St. Andrews) were all banned for one match.

Matthew Clark (Msida) was suspended for two matches and Warren Cuschieri (Sta. Venera) for one match in Division 2 while in Division 3, Elton Dimech (Ghaxaq) and Jonathan Zahra (Kalkara) were banned for one match in Division 3.

In the Youth League, Dylan Ciantar (Gzira) and Sacha Cortis (Rabat) were banned for one match while Rabat team-manager Amadeo Zammit was suspended for two matches.
