Melita missed the opportunity to keep the pace with Pietà Hotspurs and Rabat Ajax after being held in a 1-1 draw by Vittoriosa Stars.
The Hotspurs lead the way with 33 points, followed by Rabat on 32, Melita and Zejtun on 30 with Pietà playing a game more than the other three.
The Stars, on the other hand, join Dingli in ninth place, three ahead of St. Patrick and four ahead of St. George’s.
The scorers were Mark Barbara for Vittoriosa, Manuel Ramon Sierra Camacho for Melita.
In the second game, St Patrick and St Georges shared the spoils in a goalless draw.
