Pembroke Athleta extended their unbeaten run in the BOV Third Division as they registered an important 2-1 win over Ghaxaq at the Charles Abela Stadium on Sunday.

Mdina Knights moved one point behind second-placed Fgura United as they beat Qrendi 3-1 at the Centenary Stadium. In another match at Ta’ Qali, Xghajra Tornados defeated Mgarr United 1-0.

At the Luxol Stadium, Santa Lucia beat Kalkara 5-0 while Swieqi United beat Marsa 1-0.

In another match at the Charles Abela Stadium, Mtarfa defeated Sirens 2-0.

On Monday, Fgura United take on Marsaskala at the Centenary Stadium.

Pembroke lead the way with 51 points, followed by Fgura 38, Mdina and Ghaxaq 37, Mgarr 34, Santa Lucia 33, Xghajra 29, Swieqi 23, Marsaskala 20, Sirens 18, Qrendi 16, Mtarfa 11, Marsa 9 and Kalkara 4.
