Marko Potezica and Julian Briffa were banned for nine months and one year respectively after testing positive after two BOV Premier League matches.

Potezica was banned for nine months, until April 4, 2013, following the BOV Premier League match between Mosta and Mqabba which was played on April 21st, 2012.

On the other hand, Briffa was suspended for one year, until July 4, 2013, following the BOV Premier League match between Mqabba and Hamrun Spartans which was played on May 11th, 2012.

Mqabba were fined €400 as they had two players testing positve in the doping test.
