The Mellieha Sports Club has issued a book to commemorate 50 years participation in the M.F.A. leagues.
The editor, Mr. Anthony Borg was responsible to research, coordinate and editing this publication.

Contributing to this book, club President Alfred Vella Borg wrote about how the sporting facilities in the village and club have evolved during the past 50 years.

Mr. Carmel Bartolo, MFA Senior Vice President wrote about the ‘Golden Era’ which saw the club reaching the Premier Division. Mr. Sunny Abela, who is the present club Secretary, gathered very detailed statistics from the period whilst Mr. Alfred Vella gave a historical picture about the sporting life in Mellieha and other villages half a century ago and all the efforts that were made in those days to build a football ground.

Although written in Maltese, this book describes perfectly the highs and lows of the past Mellieha football teams in the Fourth, Third, Second, First and Premier Division with a large amount of photos, comprehensive and very precise statistics covering all results, placings, scorers, players data, top scorers and the club’s footballers of the year from the period. Also featured is information about the foreign players who played for the club and the coaches that managed the teams.
