Mosta seek fifth consecutive win

Mosta will be aiming for a fifth consecutive win on Sunday as they take on Tarxien Rainbows in one of the two BOV Premier League matches in programme at the National Stadium.

The Blues are coming from a 3-1 win over Floriana last week and a win over Tarxien would put them in third place on level points with Hibernians. The Rainbows, on the other hand, are currently seventh with seven points and are coming from a 1-4 defeat to Birkirkara in their last outing.

Defender Evaldo Silva dos Santos is ruled out for Tarxien as he serves a two-match ban. Mosta coach SteveD’Amato could not count on Daniel Bogdanovic and Firas Aboulezz.

Meanwhile in the first match, Balzan and Melita seek precious points as they cross swords in a direct clash between two teams from the lower part of the table.

Balzan registered their first win as they beat Qormi 2-1 last week. Melita, on the other hand, are still seeking their first win, collecting their only point in a draw with Rabat. hey are coming from four consecutive defeats

Manuel Ramon Sierra Camacho will be back after serving a one-match ban. On the other hand, Malcolm Licari is suspended for Balzan while goalkeeper Matthew Camilleri is ruled out on a possibly long-term injury.
