Three teams lead the way in the BOV First Division after Pietà Hotspurs defeated St. Andrews 1-0 at the Luxol Stadium on Sunday.

The goal by Raphael Alain Kooh Sohna enabled Edmond Lufi’s side to claim the three points which put them on the 17-point mark together with Lija Athletic and Marsaxlokk. St. Andrews and Naxxar Lions are fourth on sixteen points.

In another match, Gudja United beat Birzebbuga St. Peter’s 4-0.

After a goalless first half, Gudja managed to break the deadlock seven minutes in the second half through Keith Bonello. A minute later, Ivan Kurtusic doubled the score and Peter Paul Sammut made it 3-0 on the hour. Cosmin Anton sealed the issue with a fourth goal one minute from time.

Gudja are sixth on 15 points, followed by Vittoriosa on 14, Zejtun 12, Gzira 10, Dingli 8, Mqabba and Birzebbuga 3.
