National coach Pietro Ghedin and Under-21 coach Ray Farrugia named the final squads ahead of next Wednesday’s friendly matches against Northern Ireland and Austria respectively.
Reuben Gauci, Jonathan Caruana, Clifford Gatt Baldacchino, Justin Grioli, Ryan Fenech and Rowen Muscat failed to make it to the senior 18-man squad leaving Jacob Dominico Borg of Balzan as the only uncapped player.
The senior side is made up of:
goalkeepers Justin Haber (Birkirkara), Andrew Hogg (Enosis Neon Paralimni – CYP);
defenders Andrei Agius (Latina – ITA), Jacob Dominico Borg (Balzan), Ryan Camilleri (Hibs), Luke Dimech (Valletta), Clayton Failla (Hibs), Alex Muscat (Sliema), Joseph Zerafa (Birkirkara);
midfielders Shaun Bajada (Sliema), Paul Fenech (Birkirkara), Edward Herrera (Birkirkara), Gareth Sciberras (Birkirkara);
forwards Danijel Bogdanovic (Valletta), Andrew Cohen (Hibs), Michael Mifsud (Valletta), Andre Schembri (Omonia Nicosia – CYP), Terence Vella (Hamrun).
Meanwhile Ray Farrugia had to leave out Ryan Camenzuli, Jurgen Borg, Terence Agius, Brandon Muscat and Daniel Zerafa.
