The MFA Academy (born 1998) shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw with the Liechtenstein Under-16 side in a friendly match at the Centro Sportivo Comunale in Bussolengo, Italy on Monday.

The game was played in extreme weather conditions and was in fact played under heavy snowfall.

Zachary Brincat scored for Malta on the 9th minute. Liechtenstein were leading 3-1 at half-time but two goals by Aidan Jake Friggieri on 64 and 67 minutes enabled the Malta Academy to level matters.

The Malta Academy 1998 was due to play another friendly against Chievo Verona (Giovanissimi Nazionali 1998) on Tuesday. However the game was cancelled as there are no pitches available due to the heavy snowfall in Verona.
