Birkirkara FC Youth Nursery joins the Ajax Online Academy

Ajax-Online-AcademyBirkirkara FC Youth Nursery is proudly announcing the enrolment within the Ajax Online Football Academy, a subsidiary of Ajax Amsterdam. This means that coaches at the Nursery will have access to the methods used by this famous Dutch Club from Amsterdam in order to raise excellent players through their youth system. Ajax Amsterdam are know to be one of, if not, the best at producing top class players which are usually sought for by the best clubs in the world.

The Birkirkara Nursery will therefore be the only one in the Maltese islands to be registered with the Ajax Online Academy, since the agreement implies that no other Maltese club can join in.

The Nursery Director of Youth Coaching, Mr Marko Glumac, will be accessing all the data made available online where he can download coaching theories, practices, methods, tests for players and other useful data which will then be applied by himself and the other coaches for the benefit of all the children training at Infetti.

The agreement also states that it will be possible to organize Ajax Online Academy courses for coaches and football camps for players at Birkirkara FC, all in consultation with the Ajax Online Academy. Besides, both Birkirkara FC and Ajax Online Academy will help each other if they wish to travel in Malta and the Netherlands respectively for a training camp.

A welcome letter signed by Mr Frank de Boer, the famous ex-player and now Head Coach at the Ajax Youth Academy, was sent to Mr Mannie Galea, the Nursery Chairman. The Committee is sure that this is another leap forward with respect to the quality of coaching it will be able to offer in the future years.

The Nursery is willing to accept new children in its folds, and is already equipped for larger numbers since all age groups between the Under 5 and Under 17 categories each have 2 qualified coaches assigned to them. For anyone who wishes to find out more about this fruitful partnership, feel free to contact our Nursery Secretary & Administrator, Mr Jonathan Barbara, either by sending an email to or by calling on 9948 5895.
