Hamrun Spartans defender Adrian Borg was banned for two matches while another eight players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the BOV Premier League matches which were played on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Christian Caruana (Balzan), Steven Pisani (Floriana), Jackson di Lima Siqueira and Marcelo Dias (Hibs), Kurt Magro and Ryan Grech (Mosta), Edison Bilbao Zarate (Qormi) and Luca Martinelli (Sliema) were all suspended for one match.

Adrian Borg misses the games against Floriana and Melita. Pisani also misses the game Hamrun vs Floriana. Caruana and Zarate are ruled out of Balzan vs Qormi while Jackson Lima, Dias, Magro and Grech are ruled out of the Championship Pool clash Mosta vs Hibernians. Luca Martinelli will miss the game against Tarxien.

Fabio Cauchi and Etienne Farrugia (Dingli), Leontiev Konda (Lija), Matt Clarke and Rupert Mangion (Marsaxlokk), Angus Buhagiar (Naxxar), Cleavon Cassar and David Senior (Pietà), Luke Vella Critien and Mark Barbara (Vittoriosa), Karl Vassallo and Oldi Majtara (Zejtun) were banned for one match in Division 1 while Naxxar Lions official Dione Drago was banned for two matches.

In Division 2, Miguel Francica (Zebbug) was suspended for one match.
